The Snowy Day

On Sunday night, I read Butterbean the beloved book, The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats. By the next morning the ground in East Atlanta was covered with four beautiful inches of snow.

We made snowy memories.
Drank hot chocolate. Snuggled on the couch. Played outside.
And marked every single thing off of Annika's Snowy Day agenda.
Played with neighbors.

Built a snow-woman.

Left funny footprints in the snow.

Sledded down a hill on a cookie sheet.

Drew snowy pictures with our new window crayons.

And mixed up some snow cream.

We just heard on the news that 49 out of the 50 states in America have snow on the ground
right now.

What are you waiting for?

I'm so glad that you got so much snow- it looks like you had so much fun! I'm glad that Annika completed her Snowy Day agenda (love that book!). I loved seeing Cindy too!

We have gotten a good bit of snow here this year. As I type it is snowing and is predicted to pile up a lot. The children wore their pajamas inside out, put a spoon under their pillows and did a snow chant in hopes of not having school tomorrow!

Howdy li'l Butterbean,
I'm sure glad that there are other folks called Butterbean and I'm a butterbean bean lover, who LOVES BUTTERBEANS!!! You know, I live on a small farm & ranch, down in Coleman county TEXAS, about 53 miles South of Abilene, and have tried to find some REAL OLD FASHIONED BUTTERBEAN SEEDS to plant in my garden, but no luck!!! I know you are too young to know how GOOD the OLD beans were, but they tasted just like they were cooked in REAL BUTTER, but without all of the FAT of real butter..
I'm really glad your name is BUTTERBEAN and I'm happy to make your acquaintance, ma'm!!
